Making Ceramics an Art

Just like painting a picture is art, ceramics is also art. When well crafted, artistic ceramics result in pieces of extraordinary beauty. That’s precisely what we aim for at Kumara Lab: to create unique, original, and exclusive ceramic pieces. No two pieces are alike because each one has its own story.

In my sculptural ceramics workshops, we aim for everyone to add extra value to their creations. The meaning of a ceramic piece is what we want it to be, which is what makes it special, especially if we made it with our own hands.

About Us

I am Martina Moxo, and I grew up in a village outside of Barcelona, and my parents were ceramicists. Since I was very young, I have been in contact with clay, which is why it’s my passion today. After living for two years in Peru, I learned a lot from ancestral cultures.

Although I lost inspiration for a while, the birth of my daughter brought back the enthusiasm and motivation I needed to work with clay again. That’s how Kumara Lab was born. I hope you feel at home and that you enjoy my pieces and workshops as much as I do.
